How to permanently remove your account or request data deletion

Rock makes it easy to delete your account and the data we hold about your home. This page explains how to do it in the app, and how to request data deletion without closing your account.

Delete your account (in-app, recommended)

The fastest way is right inside the Rock app:

  1. Open Rock on your phone.
  2. On the Home screen, tap your profile picture in the top-right corner to open Settings.
  3. Tap Data Privacy.
  4. Scroll to Remove My Account and Data and tap Show Options…
  5. (Optional) Toggle Email me a copy of my data before deletion.
  6. (Optional) Toggle Notify partners to erase my data too.
  7. Tap Request Account Deletion and confirm.

You’ll be signed out, and your account will be queued for deletion. We’ll send confirmation to your email when it’s complete.

Delete your account (by email)

If you can’t access the app, email support@rockhome.app from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify your identity and process the request within the same timeframe.

Delete some of your data without closing your account

You can request removal of specific data (for example, your photos or a particular home) while keeping your Rock account active.

  • In the app, tap Settings → Contact Us, or
  • Email support@rockhome.app with the subject “Delete some of my data” and tell us what you would like removed.

You can also export a portable copy of your personal data from Settings → Data Privacy → Request My Data.

What gets deleted

When you request full account deletion, we permanently remove:

  • Your user profile (name, email, profile photo, preferences)
  • Your homes and any home details you added (addresses, notes, photos)
  • All equipment records (models, manuals, photos, maintenance history)
  • Custom tasks, reminders, and completion history
  • AI chat history and conversation records
  • Notification settings and consent records

What we keep

For a limited time after deletion, we retain:

  • Anonymized analytics that cannot be linked back to you
  • Server logs (up to 30 days) for security and abuse prevention
  • Records we are legally required to keep, where applicable

How long it takes

  • Account-deletion requests are processed within 14 days of submission.
  • Encrypted backups roll off within 30 days after that.
  • You can cancel a pending deletion by emailing support@rockhome.app before the 14-day window ends.
